2700 Series Zone Controls

The Robertshaw® SlimZone Deluxe (SZD) zone control system is designed for use as a light commercial or residential HVAC constant volume zone control system that can provide up to seven individual temperature controlled zones when installed with a single heating and air conditioning unit. Each zone is controlled by its own space thermostat and associated motorized zone damper(s) which are wired to the logic panel using standard 18 gauge thermostat wire. The Deluxe logic panel is wired to the HVAC equipment and monitors zone thermostats, energizes the equipment in the proper mode of operation, and control equipment staging based on a choice of selectable algorithms. The basic system consists of the SlimZone Deluxe master board, which controls up to three zones. The system is expandable up to seven zones, in two zone increments, using expander boards (SZDEX). Air distribution to each zone is controlled by either two wire (power closed-spring return open or power open-spring return closed) or three wire (power open-power closed) rectangular or round motorized zone dampers. A dedicated 24V AC, 40VA transformer is required to power the Deluxe master board and expander boards. A 24V AC power supply is required to provide power to the zone dampers and thermostats. 12VA requirement for each zone proper size transformer – example 4 zones x 12VA = 48VA minimum transformer size.
